Job description Department Purpose and Structure The Collaborate team provides legal technology solutions to the firm, helping lawyers across our global network to deliver a full range of legal services to our clients. The use of technology to support A&O's client activities is becoming increasingly important as client requirements become more complex and global in nature. The Collaborate team is predominately based in our Belfast office. Role Purpose The role of the Client Solutions Analyst is to provide operational support for our Collaborate platform, A&O's principal technology for the support and delivery of legal services. Further technologies and tools are likely to be added to our legal technology toolset as we develop services to meet our clients' future needs. This role will respond to A&O lawyer and client queries with advice, setup and implementation of secure online project spaces. There are also opportunities to help design and configure technical project solutions. Maintaining client data security and integrity is vital in this role. This individual will be expected to advise lawyers on how to use and manage client facing tools so that risks are well understood and managed. Role and Responsibilities Creating, supporting and maintaining Collaborate sites Advise lawyers on how to best use/configure Collaborate to help meet their client needs Some of the more sophisticated Collaborate solutions require the configuration of online information capture forms, and the configuration of automatic document creation and data visualisations. System housekeeping tasks and some admin are required to ensure effective and safe use systems. Working with our technology supplier to design solutions, troubleshoot issues and resolve client queries quickly. Collaborate is a managed service provided by HighQ. Personal attributes, skills and experience An attention to detail, proven problem solving skills and ability to be flexible and learn quickly. The candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and experience of working in a demanding and professional environment. Strong customer service experience is expected. In addition they must have the following non-technical skills/experience: Experience of customer/client support in the legal or other professional services industry Strong attention to detail Experience of identifying and managing risks Able to manage own workload and support team members to meet deadlines Able to resolve issues quickly and with a high resolution rate Can demonstrate a highly inquisitive nature, who will challenge themselves to solve problems and achieve targets The following technology skills/experience would be desirable: Experience of supporting web based applications, in particular online datarooms Experience of mark-up languages eg XML, HTML, or JavaScript/Velocity would be an advantage Experience of document automation technology Knowledge of Digital Rights Management (DRM) Knowledge of web browser, plugin and computer settings that can affect web applications Information Technology or similar degree level qualification would be an advantage but not essential
