Leading Chancery and Commercial Chambers - London

Our Client is a Leading London Barristers’ Chambers specialising in Chancery and Commercial Law. The Set has an excellent reputation across all its practice areas and is acknowledged by the legal directories as a market leader.  Chambers is now seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to the position of Team Leader. 

The Role:

Reporting to the Chambers Director and working closely with colleagues, Members of Chambers and Clients, the individual will play a significant role in the effective day to day clerking and on-going development of Members’ practices.  This will include effective liaison with Solicitors and other Clients, fair allocation of work and fee negotiation for appropriate Members.  The individual will also be expected to undertake regular practice development meetings with Members.

In addition, the individual will play a pro-active role in Chambers’ business development and marketing functions, and in conjunction with more senior colleagues, will help to deliver Chambers’ business development and marketing strategies.  The ability to spot opportunities for cross selling and to develop and maintain professional relationships in order to attract and retain new business, is vital.    

The role will also be responsible for overseeing the workload of more junior colleagues as well as being involved in their training and development.  

The Person

Ideally with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Chambers undertaking similar work, suitable candidates will possess outstanding administrative skills, be able to meet competing deadlines, be articulate and have a proactive approach to everything they do.  They must also be able to work within a team environment and be able to deliver the role with a flexible approach. 

The position is offered with an attractive salary of circa £35k.
